Needham Starting Odd/Even Water Use Restrictions

Water use restriction imposed for town.

How's your lawn looking? Unfortunately, if it's looking a little dry, you'll have to put keep the sprinklers inside--at least for part of the week.

The Town announced over the weekend that they are imposing non-essential water restrictions around town. See the PDF embedded for more information.

Here's how it works:

  • If your address is an even number, you can water on Mondays and Thursdays.
  • If your address is an odd number, you can water your yard on Tuesdays and Fridays.
  • No watering on Wednesdays or Weekends.
  • You can water using a hand-held hose all week, even during the restricted days.
The restriction does not just apply to watering your lawn, but to washing your car or driveway. However, there is one notable exception to the car rule: if your car is so dirty it's dangerous to drive, the town says they will let that slide.

There are more details in the PDF sent out by the town, in the Scribd widget above.
