TripAdvisor plans its departure from Newton, with a destination of its original home in Needham.

The largest travel site on the web will move its headquarters from Newton in 2015 and become the main tenant of Center 128, a new office park in Needham, according to a report in the Boston Globe.

TripAdvisor will move 500 employees to the new 280,000 square feet of space - more than double the size of the current space in Newton. The company's staff is growing by about 30 percent, according to the Globe.

Needham enticed TripAdvisor to move back to town with tax incentives passed by Town Meeting in December. The company will be exempt from 76 percent of taxes to the town of Needham for 13 years, according to the report.

The company began in 2000 here in Needham, and is outgrowing its Newton headquarters. In November, Needham's Selectman voted in favor of a TIF program with TripAdvisor, which they hope will bring not only TripAdvisor, but a number of tech companies to Needham's new business park.
