ReplyHi Cari, you are spot-on with this. Malcolm Astley has demonstrated extraordinary grace, serving as a beautiful example to all of us. (But try not to mind those speed traps - the police are just protecting us all :-)

ReplyMichael, I thought you made that point quite well at Town Meeting (not that visuals wouldn't have helped). Actually, photographs would have been even more helpful to help illustrate the points that were being made about access to the Pond and the ability to build on that land.

ReplyThank you to Wayland voters for supporting local voting rights for permanent resident non-citizens. Since this home rule petition requires approval from our state legislators, I hope they will take up and approve our request.

ReplyI totally agree that Paani is great. BUT... before you go crazy over the prawns, you've got to try the okra. I know what you're thinking. Okra? Yes, okra. (Adraki Bindi Banaras)

ReplyFor the younger crowd (K and younger), one of our favorites was the Mr. Putter & Tabby series (our very favorite was "Mr. Putter & Tabby Pick the Pears").
After that (elementary age), an author I have loved is Kate DiCamillo (Because of Winn Dixie, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, The Magician's Elephant). Her writing is like poetry, and makes for great read-alouds. Also very hard to go wrong with Roald Dahl.
p.s. Have Kleenex handy for Edward Tulane

Thanks, Dianne! That's really great to see. I hope WaylandCares will be able to continue the great work.
