Bridget Macdonald, Neighbor

After helping launch a new student publication during my senior of college, I knew that my future was in journalism. However, my concentration had been in art history and environmental policy.

For the next few years, I travelled, freelanced, and worked as a seasonal park ranger for Cape Cod National Seashore, refining my communication skills by developing public programs and exhibits about the natural and cultural resources of the area.  

Determined to combine my interests in storytelling, history and environmental science, I set out for Chicago to attend Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where I wrote about environmental policy, natural resources, agriculture and business. 

Since graduating, I have completed an editorial internship with Public Radio International's Living on Earth, freelanced for community newspapers, and continue to work on media and writing projects for Cape Cod National Seashore.
