I Told Them Not to Park Their Car in the Way of My Golf Swing At the Hersey upper parking lot, Needham Police responded to look into possible vandalism on a vehicle parked in the lot at midday. An oversized vehicle was having difficulties with a turn from Manning Street onto Hemlock Road. With the help of several Needham Police units, the vehicle was guided onto Hemlock and to its destination. As Boston's Marathoners run through Wellesley and Newton, we'd like to see your photos of the runners in town.
The 117th Boston Marathon will bring thousands of runners from Hopkinton to Boston, via Wellesley on Monday, April 15, 2013. The route will pass through Wellesley from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wellesley College tells us they will do the Scream Tunnel again this year, although runners will be passing through town for much of the day. As the course winds through town, if you are going out to watch, bring your phone or your camera with you. Snap a couple of photos and upload them here. Check back here after the marathon to see what your neighbors upload.

Prescription for Arrest A customer at a CVS Pharmacy in Wellesley attempted to fill a questionable prescription on March 23, police said. The pharmacist identified a woman at the store, and told police that something seemed incorrect about the scrip she was trying to fill. The woman was ultimately found to have an outstanding warrant from Milford District Court for uttering a false prescription. She was arrested. http://patch.com/A-3l9X Dude, Where's My Car? A woman in Needham on March 23 had an argument with her boyfriend early one morning, and wanted her car returned home. Don't Drink and Drive, Especially into a Police Cruiser On March 6, as a Wellesley police cruiser was overseeing a detail on Rte. 9 Eastbound with a National Grid crew. The officer and cruiser were behind a cone cordon on the work site, when another vehicle drove into the cordoned-off area and into the police cruiser. Both the driver and the officer were transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Figure This One Out: View Porn, Pay the Feds? In Sudbury, a North Road resident reported suspicious circumstances involving his laptop computer. The responding officer determined a virus from a porn site the resident was surfing infected the computer. I've Got This Nigerian Cousin With a Great Bank Business Idea Needham Police took a report of a fraudulent lottery, when a Gay Street resident reported that s/he had sent $2,200 to a lottery as a "processing fee" for a $10 million prize. Police advised the person to put a fraud alert on the card and tell financial institutions about it. A kitchen knife in a forest put a man in cuffs over the weekend, according to police reports. Wellesley police were dispatched to the Whole Foods in Wellesley at about 11:15 a.m. on Sunday morning, where employees reported a shoplifting incident. Staff allege that a man had left without paying for an item, and one employee had followed him down the street and to the brook path. Officer Hughes arrived on the scene, where the employee identified the man walking away. Police say they called out to the retreating man who threw something into the brook. Officers ran after him, after he was unresponsive to their commands. 56-year-old Greendale Avenue, Needham resident, Timothy Clark was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing …
