Aly Raisman Injured at California Show

The Olympic gymnast from Needham reportedly fell from the uneven bars during a weekend performance.

Needham Olympian Aly Raisman and teammate McKayla Maroney were injured after they fell from the uneven bars while performing in the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions in California over the weekend, WCVB reports. Raisman fell onto her stomach during her routine on the uneven bars, according to WCVB, but was able to walk out of the arena. But Maroney, who reportedly fell while she was trying to land a dismount during her uneven bars routine, had to be carried from the room by medics. Neither of the two gymnasts were featured in the show's finale, according to WCVB. The WCVB report also stated that a source had confirmed that Raisman was OK and was in San Diego. Video of Aly Raisman's Parents Goes Viral

People are talking this morning about a funny clip of Lynn and Rick Raisman reacting to their daughter's Olympics performance on the uneven bars.

It may have been Aly Raisman who qualified for the all-around gymnastic finals in the 2012 Summer Olympics over the weekend, but her parents, Needham residents Lynn and Rick Raisman, have become mini celebrities in their own right. Twitter has been buzzing since last night's NBC Primetime showing of the U.S. women's gymnastics performance in the qualifying round at the London Games, after NBC showed a close-up of Raisman's parents reacting to their daughter's performance on the uneven bars. In the video clip, the Raismans can be seen making worried faces, arching their backs and moving almost as if they are up there on the bars with their daughter.
