Thanks to a very special U.S. Postal Service program, "Santa" will reply to children who mail him their Christmas wish lists this holiday season.
Every year, millions of children sit down to make a wish list for Santa, hoping he will make all of their Christmas dreams come true. But what if Santa actually wrote back? The United States Postal Service is now accepting "Letters From Santa," a program that allows any person to play Santa by sending a letter signed by Saint Nick to any child. According to a postal service news release, "The 'Letters From Santa' program helps parents fulfill the dreams of their own children." Instructions to send a letter from Santa: In Needham, letters to Santa can be dropped off at any of the post office locations: Highland Avenue and Great Plain Avenue. TELL US: Do your children or children in your family plan on writing a letter to Santa this year?

Find out when Santa is near your home.
Needham Patch caught up with Santa Claus recently when he was in town for the Blue Tree Lighting and asked him whether he would be making his usual stops in Needham this year. "The boys and girls of Needham have been very good this year," Santa said. "So I will be visiting lots of homes in town on Christmas Eve." Santa added, "I've been delivering presents to Needham residents for more than 300 years, and I look forward to many more years of visits. Merry Christmas!" Follow Santa's progress on Christmas Eve via Needham Patch. Our friends at NORAD are tracking the whereabouts of Santa Claus and Patch will keep you updated throughout the night.
