Polls are open on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
It's Election Day! Today, Needham residents will help pick a new president, U.S. senator and Congressman and help decide statewide issues involving medical marijuana, end-of-life prescriptions and right-to-repair. Locally, voters will decide whether to allow stores in Needham to sell wine, beer and liquor. Remember: Needham residents will need to check in twice when they go to vote today—once to receive your state/presidential election ballot and then again to receive the special town election ballot. You can fill out both ballots at the same time, but you must sign in at each table to reveive the two ballots. For a complete look at what you'll see on today's ballot, including sample ballots, check out Needham Patch's Election Guide 2012. …

Polls have been 'steady' at most precincts, workers say.
More than 1,400 Needhamites had cast their ballots as of 2 p.m. on Town Election day, with a turnout that several at the polls referred to as "steady." By noon, 169 votes had been cast at Precinct F, located in the Stephen Palmer Senior Center. Over at Precinct A at Hillside Elementary School, 110 votes had been cast by about 12:30 p.m., while Precinct B had 177. Lou Picariello, who was holding signs outside Hillside for Park and Recreation Commission candidate Dave DiCicco and selectman candidate Matt Borrelli, said he thought the traffic had been slow. "I think there have been more people coming to pick up their kids at the school than voting," he said. By about 1:10 p.m., at Mitchell Elementary School, Precinct J had a vote count of 210…

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
Needham voters will head to the polls today to pick a new selectman, decide which two candidates will sit on the Park and Recreation Commission and elect 240 Town Meeting members. The polls will be open in all 10 precincts from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters in Precincts C and D should note that, as they did in the March 6 primary, they will be voting at High Rock School instead of at Newman Elementary School, which is undergoing renovations. However, this time, voting equipment will be set up in the school library, not in the art room as it was in March. Below is a complete list of locations by precinct: As a quick reference, individuals can go online to wheredoivotema.com and enter an address to find their polling location. Residents also can …
