Needham, Cast Your Votes in the Special Primary

The special primary for the US Senate seat is today, polls open until 8.

  Those who like to vote early and often have another opportunity to exercise that right today.  Polls are open again today, and Needham residents can cast their votes in the special primary to fill Senator John Kerry's seat. The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. This primary will choose who will go on to the special election, which takes place on June 25. See the Town Clerk's FAQ on the upcoming primary for more information. Patch interviewed all of the candidates for the primary, each one receiving more or less the same interview. Needham Town Election Results 2013: Grimes Wins Planning Board

We've got the results of races for School Committee, Planning Board and more from yesterday's election.

  Needham went out to the polls yesterday to elect members of the Planning Board, School Committee and Town Meeting, as well as casting votes in a number of uncontested races for other town officials. The main races were for School Committee and Planning Board.  Candidates Artie Crocker and Elizabeth Grimes went head to head for one seat on the planning board. Netting a little over 100 votes more than her opponent, Grimes won the seat, 1,225 to 1,116 votes.  School Committee had three seats to fill, and four candidates. The newcomer, David Ecsedy, netted 633 votes, which was not enough to unseat the three incumbent candidates, Joseph Barnes, Jr. Constance Barr and Marianne Cooley, each of whom had over a thousand votes apiece.  According …

It's Election Day! Where To Vote in Needham

Polls are open on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It's Election Day! Today, Needham residents will help pick a new president, U.S. senator and Congressman and help decide statewide issues involving medical marijuana, end-of-life prescriptions and right-to-repair. Locally, voters will decide whether to allow stores in Needham to sell wine, beer and liquor. Remember: Needham residents will need to check in twice when they go to vote today—once to receive your state/presidential election ballot and then again to receive the special town election ballot. You can fill out both ballots at the same time, but you must sign in at each table to reveive the two ballots. State Primary Today: What Needham Voters Should Know

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Needham voters will head to the polls today for the State Primary, helping to select candidates that will represent their political parties in the Nov. 6 election. The local polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in all 10 precincts. Voters in precincts C and D will continue to vote at the High Rock School library during the primary but will return to their previous location, at Newman Elementary School, for the Nov. 6 election, according to Town Clerk Tedi Eaton. Newman has been undergoing renovations for the past year. A quick look at polling changes, where to vote and what's on the ballot

Several Needham voters will be casting their ballots at new polling locations this Super Tuesday. Today’s Massachusetts’ Presidential Primary marks the town’s first election since Needham’s precinct map was redrawn following the 2010 U.S. Census. The new map changed boundaries to six of the town’s 10 precincts—B, C, F, G, H and I—and means all 240 Town Meeting members must run for their seats in the town election on April 10. For today, the changes will mainly be seen in where Needham residents go to vote: A new precinct could mean a new polling place.
