Needham Police Announce Possible Liquor Stings, Retail Liquor Application Deadline Today

Those applying for retail liquor licenses in town, as well as current license holders, should be aware of possible compliance checks from the police. A public notice issued by the Police on Jan. 14 indicates that the Needham Police Department intends to check local liquor license holders for compliance with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission (ABCC) and the town's liquor regulations. This may include the use of people under 21 in stings. This year, police may also check retail package stores' compliance, after the Needham Selectmen approved liquor regulations as voted by the Town in the November election.
