As we approach this year’s town election, I am writing to ask the voters’ consideration for Planning Board candidate Artie Crocker. Artie grew up in Needham, has raised a family here, and runs his own small graphic arts business in town. As a volunteer in civic activities and town government, he has demonstrated extraordinary energy and commitment to our community. Over the years, he has shown himself to be a person of strong principle who is willing to speak and listen respectfully to people of all opinions, even when he doesn’t agree with them. Dear Editor: We are writing in support of Elizabeth Grimes for Planning Board with whom we serve on the Council of Economic Advisors (CEA). Liz is a productive and thoughtful member of the CEA and has been instrumental in some of our most important initiatives including the rezoning and rebranding of Needham Crossing that has already provided a positive impact to Needham. Liz is smart, thoughtful, and takes an analytical approach to developing desired economic growth strategies to benefit Needham and help relieve our residential tax burden.
