Needham HS Fall Athlete & Coach Recognition / Strong Start to the Winter Season for Rockets ROCKETS FALL SEASON RECAP On Sunday (12/9), the Boston Globe published its seasonal All-Scholastic Teams, marking the top HS performers in EMASS, which included five NHS athletes and one coach. On the teams for the Rockets are: The NHS Boys Soccer Team (DI State Champion and Globe #1 Final Ranking) was also featured as the lead story for the Fall All-Scholastic Section and complete details can be found at www.boston.com/sports/schools/allscholastics/2012/fall. Rockets Review: Boys Soccer Division I MVP Award

Needham HS Senior Mac Steeves to receive MIAA Boys Soccer DI Tourney MVP Award! On Monday, December 10th, at 9:45am in NHS Athletics Office, Senior All-American Mac Steeves will be presented with the Larry Briggs Award in recognition of being named the 2012 MIAA Boys Soccer Division I Tournament MVP! Presented annually by the New England Interscholastic Soccer Coaches Association (NEISOA), the Larry Briggs Award recognizes the top tournament performer in each of the MIAA Divisions.  As an interesting note, Mac's father, Jay Steeves, who is also an assistant coach with the Needham team, won the award in 1983 after starring in goal for the Rockets. Please join us on Monday morning to celebrate Mac's tremendous accomplishment! Thank you.
