Monday Needham Freelance Troupe Giving Greek Myths the Blues.

Homer's "Odyssey" gets a modern, improv-fueled performance later this month.

A group of Needham kids are putting a new twist on an old epic.  In an upcoming performance by the Monday Needham Freelance Troupe, Homer's Odyssey will get a major facelift in "Mything Links," a new musical based on the Greek epic poem, starring kids from around Needham, opening on Jan. 25.  Highlights include Atlas singing "The World on My Shoulders Blues," and Sisyphus' band The Rolling Rocks.  The performance is also a chance to sign up for the Troupe for its spring season. The troupe is aimed at kids 8-12, and features vocal and physical training exercises. As the name suggests, they meet on Monday.  The play starts at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan 25.  Below is the full press release from the Monday Needham Freelance Troupe: Hey Kids – …
