Needham native Eric Johnson and his fiancée, singer Jessica Simpson, welcomed a baby girl this morning, according to a pink announcement posted on Simpson's website, jessicasimpson.com. Named Maxwell Drew Johnson, the baby girl weighed 9 pounds 13 ounces at birth and measured 21 3/4 inches long. "We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!" the announcement on jessicasimpson.com reads. The baby girl is the first child for Simpson, 31, and Johnson, 32, a former NFL player who played football his junior and senior years at Needham High School.
