Needham Cross-Country Girls Qualify for All-State Meets
With a fourth place finish at the MIAA Eastern Mass. Divisional Cross-Country Championships on Nov. 13 at Franklin Park, the Needham girls earned a spot at the All-State Meets on Nov. 20 in Gardner.
The Needham girls ran an excellent race on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the MIAA Eastern Mass. Divisional Cross-Country Championships at Franklin Park. Their performance earned them a spot at the All-State Meets on Nov. 20 in Gardner. The Lady Rockets (124) finished fourth in Division II, just ten points ahead of fifth place Billerica (134) and a mere four points behind third place Chelmsford (120). The team from Franklin claimed second with 63 points and Lincoln-Sudbury earned the top spot accruing just 49. The girls were all able to run solid races, led by junior Alison Pildner (18, 20:45) and senior Hannah Alpert (20, 20:55).
