Needham Man Charged in Dedham with Second OUI

George Smirnov, 66, was arrested Tuesday night on Common Street.

Dedham Police arrested a 66-year-old Needham man for allegedly driving drunk on Tuesday, Jan. 10. At about 9:34 p.m., officers received calls that a blue Infiiniti was swerving on Common Street in Dedham and going 20 miles per hour slower than the posted speed limit. Officer William Wilds attempted to pull over the car, driven by George Smirnov, by activating blue lights, the car's horn and siren, but the driver didn't notice, according to the police report. Finally, after Wilds used the car's speaker, Smirnov stopped his car. He reportedly told Wilds that he was heading to Dedham District Court to testify. Smirnov also allegedly had trouble locating his driver's license to give to Wilds, who observed it immediately in the front of the man…

Dorchester Man Arrested in Dec. 5 House Break

The 18-year-old is accused of involvement in two break-ins, one in Needham and one in Westwood, according to Needham Police. Note: Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A Dorchester man was arrested last week after an investigation into a pair of house break-ins in Needham and Westwood led police to his doorstep. On Wednesday, Dec. 28 around 11:00 a.m., Needham detectives with assistance from Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force detectives and the Boston Police executed an arrest and search warrant for the apartment of Dominique Milton, 18, of Aspinwall Street, Dorchester. Milton is suspected of involvement in a Dec. 5 break-in at a Brookline Street home in Needham as well as a break-in at a Westwood home later that same day, according to Needham Police Lt. Needham Woman Allegedly Tries to Pass Fake Money

A Needham woman was arrested last week allegedly attempting to purchase prescription drugs from a New Hampshire pharmacy with counterfeit $20 bills. Robin Vasil, 29, of Needham Heights was arrested on Dec. 23, and charged with 12 counts of Forgery, 10 that were felony charges and two counts of Uttering A Forged Instrument. She was arrested at 6:40 p.m. at The Medicine Store on South Main Street in Concord, NH, after a clerk there realized that she was using phony money. According to a clerk named Andrea, Vasil came to the store and filled a prescription and then gave her money to purchase the order. “She gave me a couple of $20s and one was fine, the other ones looked a little off in color,” the clerk said. Police Reports: Medfield Man Charged with OUI

A 49-year-old Medfield man was charged with OUI after he ran his truck into a utility pole on Central Avenue around 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1. The driver told Needham police that a coyote had run out in front of his vehicle and that he had swerved to avoid it, striking the pole, according to reports. Police noted signs that the driver had been drinking and eventually arrested him for operating under the influence of alcohol and cited him for a marked lanes violation.
