Armed Robbery Suspect is in Custody
Police announced just after 6 p.m. that they have apprehended a suspect.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday night, Needham Police announced they do have someone in custody following an armed robbery at Pittsburgh Paints, located at 77 Charles St., earlier. Police are no longer searching the area and want residents and business owners to know there is no threat to security in the area. "We feel that this matter is resolved. We are still investigating," Needham Police Lieutenant John Schlittler told reporters on scene. Police are also towing a car from the scene that was parked outside Pittsburgh Paints. Earlier tonight the search was on for a suspect in an armed robbery at 77 Charles St. Reports said the suspect wore a ski mask, showed a firearm and fled on foot toward I-95.
