Sacrament of Reconciliation isMore offered on Saturdays from 3:15pm - 3:45pm or by appointment, and baptisms are performed on the first Sunday of the month. St. Bartholomew's is currently involved in "ARISE: Together in Christ," a three-year program in which the Archdiocese of Boston is also participating. Additionally, the church offers several religious education programs for children and teens, as well as soccer and basketball programs. A book club, prayer group, senior social club, choir and adult education classes are also offered.

Claxton Field was dedicated in 1966 to Philip H. Claxton, "the pioneer of public recreation in the Town of NeedhamMore for many years," as stated by a plaque that greets guests at the entranceway. For years, Needham residents have flocked to the site for its two adult softball fields and its soccer field.

Games can now be watched on the recently added bleachers, and visitors can also make use of Claxton's picnic area with grills. Younger children will find a playground on-site and water fountains are also available. Public restrooms exist, but are currently under renovation.
