Visitors to Avery Field will find a large open space fit for dog walking or tossing around a frisbee. During warmerMore months, Needham youths can be seen playing on the park's baseball diamond. The park abuts a private condominium and drivers are asked not to park in the condo spaces. Parking, instead, can be found on Webster Street. Needham Park and Recreation maintains the park and asks that visitors keep dogs on a leash.

The Needham Park and Recreational Department-maintained fields behind Broadmeadow School feature two youth-sizedMore baseball diamonds and playground facilities. One facility is for little children, ages 3-5, and another area is set-up for the bigger kids, ages 5-12. Visitors are asked to park in the lower lot off of Broadmeadow Road, just to the right of the school.
Memorial Park

With stately Needham High School perched atop the hill beside it, Memorial Park offers a plethora of activities forMore those who visit. The recently renovated park often finds athletes utilizing the two baseball diamonds, as well as the multiuse synthetic field, all of which are lit up at night. During warmer months, live music is played at the park's gazebo.

As its name implies, Memorial Park also pays tribute to veterans through a granite monument, plaques and American flags. As one inscription reads, the park is dedicated to the "men and women of Needham who served the armed forces of our great country in all wars."

Baseball fans will find a diamond at Dwight Field, which is a short drive-up the hill on Dwight Road. The field featuresMore fenced-in dugout areas with benches. Parking can be found in the dirt lot across the street.

A basketball court, tennis courts and a youth baseball diamond all beckon visitors to Mills Field on Gould Street. OtherMore amenities include a picnic area with grills and a playground that is suitable for ages 3-6.
DeFazio Park

DeFazio Park recently underwent an extensive renovation and is now home to several first-rate athletic facilities.More Baseball and softball players will find nirvana with Asa Small, a 60-foot diamond, and John McLeod Field, home to two 90-foot diamonds. Athletes in other sports will also find two multiple-use fields (complete with lights and a synthetic turf) and an eight-lane track.

Amenities at DeFazio include public restrooms and a picnic area with grills. Children can make use of the park's playground and shade can be found in the large gazebo. Dogs are permitted, but must be kept on a leash.
