Scott Brumit and John Baime co-founded the Longwood Opera in October 1986. Since that time Longwood has strived to provide an outlet for local performers to showcase their talents.
Brumit currently serves as Longwood's general director, while Jeffrey Brody and Wayne Ward are the musical directors. Over the years Longwood has performed a host of productions, including Barber of Seville, Hansel & Gretel, Carmen and La Boheme, among many others. Production locations vary depending on the production.
