The event begins with the video that highlights lack of human rights awareness throughout much of the world today. The video will be followed with a presentation by Laura Rotolo, staff counsel/community advocate, and representative of the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts. Rotolo will guide the audience in examining the historical roots of human rights and provide examples of current challenges that Americans face in understanding and protecting the rights of its citizens.

5. “Seussical” performance

Starting 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 at Christ Episcopal Church, 1132 Highland Ave., Needham, hear the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge--not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Other performances are Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at www.nextgentheatreco.com.
