The Exchange Club also issued this message about public safety:

The Needham Exchange Club is pleased to provide Needham with its 2013 4We are grateful to the public for its continuing support of this signature Needham event both through generous donations and by attending the Fireworks and the Parade. We are also grateful to Needham’s public safety officers for their help in making these events safe for everyone.

In light of the tragic events in Boston on April 15, we are asking the public’s co-operation so that everyone can enjoy the fireworks on July 3rd and the parade on July 4th with assurance that everything that can be done to keep everyone safe has been considered.

In light of that, we are asking everyone to co-operate with the Needham Police.  As always,  “If you see something…Say something.”  Additionally, you are reminded that possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited at Memorial Park and Green’s Field and there is no food or drink, other than water, allowed on the turf field.

Your co-operation is very appreciated, both by the Needham Exchange Club, and by those who keep us safe, the Needham Police Department.
