There's just something about summer that makes it a perfect time to travel—and something about September that marks the end of that summery freedom.
But before we head back to school, work or otherwise, let's talk a little about how we spent our summer vacations.
Your Local Editor (me!) spent the past 10 days traveling to Hungary, exploring Budapest before taking a few days to relax by Lake Balaton in the southwestern part of the country. It was my first trip to Europe, and Europe did not disappoint.
Above, you can see some of the sights I enjoyed during my travels. I'm happy to share my photographs, but I really want to know: How did you spend your summer? Did you cross the Atlantic? Spend time in Maine or Vermont? Take the kids to Disney World, visit the Grand Canyon or camp in your own backyard? Or did you simply take advantage of the great summer programs and concerts offered right here in Needham?
I encourage all Needham Patch readers to add your own photos to the gallery above—just click the green "Upload Photos and Videos" button at the top. Be sure to include a short caption explaining where you went/what you did.
Who knows? Maybe it will encourage a friend or neighbor to follow in your footsteps next summer.
