The inaugural Rosemary Murphy MassBay Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Spring Valley Country Club, 25 Tiot St., Sharon. All proceeds will benefit the MassBay Foundation and support the Rosemary Murphy Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a person from Needham who attends Massachusetts Bay Community College. Murphy was a Needham resident for more than 50 years.
Tournament organizers are seeking players, sponsors and donations for a raffle at the event. Cost is $600 per foursome and includes a continental breakfast, golf/fees, golf cart and barbecue dinner and awards following play. Non-entrants may attend the barbecue and awards ceremony for $30 per person.
