Eagles Beat Rockets in D1 Super Bowl

The Needham High School varsity football team fell to BC High 21-7 in their first ever MIAA championship game.

Boston College High School senior running back Deonae Ramey-Doe rushed for 200 yards on 24 carries and scored all three touhdowns, as the Eagles handed Needham a loss in their first Super Bowl game in school history.

Needham's sophomore quarterback Ryan Charter tossed four interceptions, while senior running back Mike Vespa led the Rockets' ground game with 60 yards on 16 carries. Vespa also recorded the only touchdown of the game in the first quarter, as Charter connected with him on a five-yard pass.
