Cheer on Needham High, Send Cheerleaders to the Radio

AMP 103.3 is watching Needham's game with Braintree this week, could invite the cheerleaders to take over Friday's show.

Cheering loudly pumps up your team during the game, but cheering digitally could promote your team off the field.

In "Slater's High School Football Challenge," local radio station AMP 103.3 watches five high school football games each week in the fall, and invites listeners to vote for the team they will be rooting for. This week, Needham's game against Braintree is one of the five picks.

Fans are encouraged to visit and vote as many times as they would like. At the time of writing, Needham High School carried about 50 percent of the vote, and was in the lead.

Cheerleaders from school with the most votes come Friday afternoon will be invited to "hang out at the 103.3 AMP Radio studios and take over Slater’s show."

The other four games the station is watching are Lowell at Central Catholic, Medford at Everett, Carver at Hull and Brighton at South Boston.

Previous winners include Arlington High School, Quincy High School, and Haverhill High School.
