Massachusetts Teens Among the Safest According to Survey

WalletHub data shows teen drivers in the Bay State are among the safest in America.

By Joey Fancilus

With summer finally here, more teens are on the road and asking their parents for the keys to the family car. While this can be stressful for many with a new driver, Massachusetts' parents can rest easy.

Results of a recent survey shows Massachusetts' teen drivers are among the safest in the nation.

WalletHub’s newest survey released last week lists Massachusetts' teenaged drivers as the sixth safest in the nation. According to the personal finance website, 260 teens are killed, on average, in traffic accidents every year.

Another note Bay State parents will be proud of: their teens are ranked the least distracted in the nation. Good job!

The survey takes into account 16 key factors for driving in America’s 50 states, including driving conditions, safety and traffic laws for each state.
