Holiday Creep Happens In Stores, But Back-To-School Creep?

 by Robert Michaelson

I discovered something shocking during my visit to the local Walmart today.

School just got out last month, but apparently retailers are already gearing up for back to school shopping. All the usual school supplies can be found cramped together right near Walmart's entrance.

It is same as always, but it just seems a bit early. Retailers have been known to start pushing holiday items earlier and earlier, called the Holiday Creep, and it seems education has joined the trend.

Binders and notebooks are on display, but I bet most kids would rather not be reminded that school is only a few months away.

What do you think? Is it too early to be pushing school supplies, or is it never too early to get that back to school shopping done?
