True North Presents 'Aaron Copeland: The American Voice'

Aaron Copland remains today one of the most important 20th century composers in the United States. After studying in Paris as a young man, Copland came back to the United States and began to forge a personal and particularly American style.

Join North Hill, the next evolution in senior living, and discover – through discussion and performance – a truly American art form.

Learn how Copland’s famous compositions, including “Appalachian Spring,” “Billy the Kid,” “Rodeo” and the “Lincoln Portrait” aptly capture a distinct American sound. Professor Elizabeth Seitz leads the class with live performances by students and musicians from The Boston Conservatory.
