True North Course: Impressive Entryways

North Hill has partnered with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society to host the True North Garden & Landscape Series. The course will cover a range of historical and practical topics of interest to historians, gardeners and everyone else. It will be held on March 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, 900 Washington St., Wellesley.

In this class, you'll delight in discovering dramatic, colorful combinations for steps, porches and patios. Find out about the latest in container trends and new breeding for flower power.

The course will be led by Barbara Pierson, Director of Greenhouse Operations at White Flower Farm in Litchfield, CT. She graduated from Cornell’s School of Horticulture, grew up in her family’s nursery and has worked with White Flower for the past 13 years. Pierson gives a few garden talks each winter, and her charm, good humor, and encyclopedic knowledge of ornamentals and edibles mean her talks are both enormously instructive and highly entertaining.
