Today, mature adults have a multitude of planning issues to consider as they prepare for their future. Throughout the month of September, The Needham Congregational Church will offer three presentations designed to highlight the issues faced by mature adults as they transition into the next phase of their life.
What can I do to stay healthy – spiritually, physically?
What do I need to do to manage my assets?
Where shall I live?
How do I stay connected to the world around me?
Our experts will present information on physical, legal,
financial and spiritual topics, providing participants with a unique perspective to help balance the decisions that have to be made with the variety of issues to be considered. This program is open to all with emphasis on seniors and their loved ones.
- Sept. 16—Dr. Janet Jankowiak, MD, Geriatric Neurologist, will discuss the developmental stages of aging, and Rev. Heike Werder will address the spiritual needs of older adults.
- Sept. 23—Financial advisor Jamie Turner will present financial planning for retirement and Attorney Bill Rees will review the legal ground rules of aging.
- Sept. 30—all of the presenters will be joined by Needham COA director Jamie Gutner and Bill Dugan, Chairman of Needham TRIAD Committee, in a session designed to promote information integration and action planning.
All three sessions will be held in the Needham Congregational Church, 1154 Great Plain Ave., 2:30-4 p.m. Attendance is open to all; those interested are invited to call 781-444-2510 to reserve a seat. A contribution of $5 per session or $12 for the series is suggested to help defray the cost of materials duplication.
