State Sen. Mike Rush (D-West Roxbury) and several other state officials honored the American Red Cross at the Massachusetts State House this week.
About 75 Red Cross volunteers and staff members celebrated Red Cross Day in the Nurses Hall of the State House on Tuesday, March 4, according to a spokesperson for the Red Cross.
Rush, whose district includes Needham, Dedham and Westwood, attended the event alongside State Rep. Carlo Basile (D-East Boston); both are chairs of the Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs.
State Rep. Hank Naughton (D-Clinton) and Sen. James E. Timilty (D-Walpole), chairs of the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security, were also in attendance.
