Needham Resident Nominated for Superior Court

Governor Patrick announced the superior court nomination of a Needham resident yesterday in a press release.

GOVERNOR PATRICK ANNOUNCES SUPERIOR COURT NOMINATION

BOSTON – Wednesday, November 28, 2012 – Governor Deval Patrick today announced the nomination of experienced litigator Peter B. Krupp as an Associate Justice of the Superior Court.

“I am honored to nominate Peter Krupp to the Superior Court bench,” said Governor Patrick. “I commend him for his extraordinary record in both criminal and civil matters and I thank him for his willingness to serve.”

Peter B. Krupp is one of the founding partners of the Boston firm of Lurie & Krupp, with a practice focused on criminal defense and commercial litigation. He accepts assignments for indigent criminal clients and handles murders and other serious felony trials in both state and federal courts. Prior to starting the firm in 1997, Krupp worked for seven years as a litigation associate at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo and three years as an assistant federal public defender. In 2009, he was appointed chair of the Criminal Justice Act Board, which helps to administer the indigent criminal defense panel in the federal court. Krupp is a graduate of Brown University (B.A., 1983) and the University of Chicago (J.D., 1986). He resides in Needham. If confirmed, Krupp will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Regina L. Quinlan.
