Join Needham Youth Commission, Make a Statement


Want to help the kids here in Needham? Because there's a seat open on the Youth Commission.

The town is looking to fill a seat on the eight-member Needham Youth Commission, a group which works on youth issues around town. The vacancy notice was posted on the Needham town website last week.

The Commission recently celebrated its 16th year running Project VAN (Volunteers Around Needham), where Needham teens head out to volunteer on projects and for organizations in and around Needham. 34 youth participants put in over 400 hours of service. 

The Youth Commission is also involved in programs like the Needham High School Make a Statement Day, where students decorate blank t-shirts with slogans and ideas that mean something to them.
