Power
If you are experiencing a power outage, please contact NSTAR at 800-592-2000. It is important that you contact NSTAR each day of interrupted service. The Needham Free Public Library will be available for respite and for charging electronic devices on a daily basis. The library hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. and may be adjusted if circumstances require.

Trees
The DPW currently has Parks and Forestry tree crews working on a list of issues that have been reported to the Department of Public Works, Police Department and Fire Department. If there is a non-public safety situation that may not have been reported, please contact the DPW Administration at 781-455-7550, press 2 followed by 1.

The DPW is presently working with the utility companies on downed trees. This is a multi-phased process, as wires must be deactivated, trees removed, and power restored, and may take some time. Once the roads are clear of obstructions and downed wires, Town crews will begin to remove other debris from roadways.

The DPW currently has Water and Sewer crews working on unclogging drains and checking catch basins. Please report any street flooding to the DPW Administration at 781-455-7550, press 2 followed by 1. The DPW appreciates your assistance in clearing any catch basins in the vicinity of your home.

Recycle & Transfer Station
The RTS is open during normal business hours this week, Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents are encouraged to utilize this facility to drop off storm debris. On Sunday, Nov. 4 ONLY, the RTS will accept ONLY leaves and storm debris, and that branches/brush etc. should be separated from leaves.
