Two debates early next week will pit Fourth Congressional District candidates against one another.
On Monday night, Aug. 13, Republican candidates Sean Bielat, Elizabeth Childs and David Steinhof will square off at Bristol Community College in Attleboro. Tuesday night, both parties will square off in seperate primary debates at Stonehill College.
As part of the Fourth District, Needham voters will be picking a candidate in the Sept. 6 state primary to represent their party in the state/national election on Nov. 6.
Below is more information about the two nights of debates.
GOP Debate at Bristol Community College, Attleboro
Sean Bielat, Elizabeth Childs and David Steinhof will answer questions from a panel comprising members of the local media at Bristol Community College in Attleboro on Monday, Aug. 13 from 7-8:30 p.m.
Participants on the panel include Attleboro-Seekonk Patch, , WVBF Radio of Taunton and WSAR Radio of Fall River. Jack Lank, president of the United Regional Chamber of Commerce, will be the moderator.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited, so individuals should arrive early. The Attleboro campus is located on 11 Field Rd. If you have any questions, contact McCaffrey at 508-824-9722.
GOP/Democratic Debate at Stonehill College, Easton
Democratic candidates Rachel Brown, Joe Kennedy and Herb Robinson will answer questions from local media at on Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 6-7 p.m. The Democratic forum will be followed by a Republican forum with candidates Sean Bielat, Elizabeth Childs and David Steinhof taking questions from the media between 8 and 9 p.m.
The event will be moderated by Lisa Strattan, associate publisher and editor of The Herald News and The Taunton Daily Gazette. The forums' panelists will be drawn from WCVB, Wicked Local and WGBH Radio.
The debate is located at Alumni Hall at Stonehill College in Easton. Free parking is available in Lot 7. Alumni Hall is handicap-accessible.
