Joe and his twin brother Matt were the co-chairs of their great Uncle Ted Kennedy's re-election campaign in 2006. At Stanford, Joe was a goalie and the co-captain of the lacrosse team. Joe is engaged to Lauren Birchfield. The two met in law school.
