More than 1,400 Needhamites had cast their ballots as of 2 p.m. on Town Election day, with a turnout that several at the polls referred to as "steady."
By noon, 169 votes had been cast at Precinct F, located in the . Over at Precinct A at , 110 votes had been cast by about 12:30 p.m., while Precinct B had 177.
Lou Picariello, who was holding signs outside Hillside for Park and Recreation Commission candidate Dave DiCicco and selectman candidate Matt Borrelli, said he thought the traffic had been slow.
"I think there have been more people coming to pick up their kids at the school than voting," he said.
By about 1:10 p.m., at , Precinct J had a vote count of 210, while Precinct I had 244.
Throughout town, sign holders such as Emily Salaun and Chris Borrelli were enjoying the sunny spring weather. Borrelli, who grew up in Needham and now works as a screenwriter in Los Angeles, said he flew in special for the Town Election to support his brother, Matt.
Votes at Precinct H at had just cleared the 250 mark by 1:30 p.m., while 263 votes had been cast at Precinct G.
