Town Sidewalk Plow Injures Pedestrian in Needham Police Log: Dec. 31 - Jan. 3

Tuesday, Dec. 31

10:36 a.m.: Police were dispatched to Charles Street for a report of two men with a rifle walking down the street. After a search of the area a BB/pellet gun was discovered in a parked vehicle and the owner/suspect was located in an area business where he works. The weapon was seized and the owner, a 40-year-old male from Woburn, will be summonsed into court for disturbing the piece.

10:25 a.m.: Police responded to the intersection of Webster Street and Lindberg Avenue for a report of a crash involving a snow plow. When police arrived, there was a Town of Needham sidewalk tractor that was stopped. A party had walked backwards into the tractor and was injured by the snow blower attachment. The injured party was transported by Needham Fire Department with minor injuries.
