Police Reports: Wellesley Driver Charged with OUI

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A Wellesley resident was arrested for OUI on Monday, May 21 in Needham.

Police were called to Walker Lane near Central Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. for the report of a possibly intoxicated driver. Police arrested the driver, a 49-year-old man from Wellesley Hills, for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Reading Woman Arrested on Warrant
Needham Police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Mills Road at around 12:39 a.m. on Monday, May 14. The driver, a 40-year-old Reading woman, was arrested on an outstanding vehicle warrant.

After-Dark Trespasser at Pollard MS
A Needham officer on patrol at around 3:01 a.m. on Monday, May 14 observed a young male trespassing at . No sign of vandalism was found, and the individual was sent on his way.

Verbal Altercation on Norfolk Street
Police were called to investigate a verbal altercation between two men on Norfolk Street on Monday, May 14 at around 10:30 a.m. Police advised the men to seek complaints in Dedham District Court if they wanted to resolve the matter legally.

Lost/Stolen Keys Reported
A Linden Street resident reported on Monday, May 14 that her apartment and car keys had either been lost or stolen.

Telephone Scam Targets Elderly Woman
An elderly Needham woman reported on Tuesday, May 15 that someone had called her and said that all seniors would be receiving new medical cards. The caller asked for her name and bank account information.

The male caller reportedly had a “strong accent” and the woman had difficulty understanding him. No funds were withdrawn from her account. A fraud alert was initiated.
