Police Reports: Vehicles Egged on Powers Street

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A Powers Street resident reported vandalism on Thursday, Nov. 1 at around 5:52 p.m. She told police that her vehicles had been egged twice over the past three weeks. No one witnessed the incidents. Needham Police agreed to do extra patrols in the neighborhood over the next few weeks.

Elderly Man Missing from Adult Daycare 
A man was reported missing from an adult daycare business on Second Avenue on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 10:10 a.m. The elderly man was located on B Street about an hour after he went missing.

Hit and Run on Greendale Avenue 
A Greendale Avenue resident reported a hit and run motor vehicle accident with property damage on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at around 5:52 p.m.

Pickup Truck Leaves Scene of Accident 
A Grasmere Road resident reported a hit and run motor vehicle accident at Hunnewell Street and Taylor Street on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at around 6 p.m. The reporting party said she had collided with a pickup truck as she turned onto Hunnewell Street. The pickup truck driver did not stop and was last seen on Hunnewell Street headed toward Central Avenue. Police were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

Driver Injured in Weather-Related Accident 
A female driver was taken to the hospital after she struck a utility pole in the area of Charles River Street and Whitman Road on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 9:12 p.m. The driver had lost control of her vehicle because of weather-related road conditions. She was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham for treatment. 

Vehicle Off the Road on Brookside 
Police were called to a Brookside Road residence on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at around 1:25 a.m. for the report of a vehicle that had run off the road. When police arrived, there was no one in or around the vehicle. A 22-year-old Needham man arrived at the scene and said the vehicle was his and that he had been driving. No injuries were reported. The man was cited for speeding.

Crash with Injury in Hospital Parking Lot 
A motor vehicle accident with injury was reported in the parking lot at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, 148 Chestnut St., on Thursday, Nov. 11 at around 10 a.m.
