Police Reports: Pistol Missing From Storage Unit

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A former Lasalle Road resident who now lives in New York City called police on Thursday, July 19 to report that a pistol he owned had gone missing from a storage unit in Dedham. The last time he had seen the gun was at the unit in 2010. Police gave the man instructions on how to proceed with the matter.

Roof Caving in at Green Street Home
Police were called to a Green Street residence for the report of a roof caving in on Thursday, July 19 at around 7 a.m. Police notified the homeowner, who was not home at the time of the incident. The Needham building inspector and Health Department were contacted to inspect the damage.

Tax Fraud on Central Avenue
A Central Avenue woman reported on Thursday, July 19 that someone had fraudulently filed a tax return using her Social Security number. The matter is under investigation.

Driver Cited For Expired Sticker, Revoked Registration
A Needham man was cited for several vehicle violations after being stopped on Thursday, July 19 for having an expired registration sticker.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Oak and Willow streets at around 8:17 p.m. The vehicle’s registration had been revoked for not having current insurance.

Vehicle Hit in Trader Joe’s Lot
A Milton resident’s vehicle was hit by another car while parked at Trader Joe’s on Friday, July 20. The operator of the other vehicle was notified, and the two drivers exchanged information.

Tewskbury Man Arrested For Violating Restraining Order
A Tewksbury man was arrested for violating a restraining order on Friday, July 20.

Needham Police responded to a Fremont Street business at around 3:50 p.m. by request of the Tewskbury Police Department. Officers arrested Alex Paltrineri, 39, of Tewksbury.

Waltham Man Driving With Revoked Registration
A 50-year-old Waltham man was cited for driving with revoked registration and without insurance on Friday, July 20 at around 4:30 p.m. The man’s vehicle was stopped on Highland Avenue in Needham. He was summonsed to Dedham District Court for the violations.

Bike Stolen From Front Porch
A Nehoiden Street resident reported on Saturday, July 21 that her bicycle was stolen from her front porch.

Local Driver Cited For Driving on Suspended License
A 41-year-old Needham man was cited for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Sunday, July 22 on Kendrick Street. The man was also driving without his vehicle registration in his possession. He was summonsed to Dedham District Court.
