Police Reports: Pellet Gun Shooter on Town Common

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Needham Police were called to the Town Common on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 1:50 p.m. for an anonymous report that someone had been shooting an orange-colored pellet gun at people. Police did not locate the suspect.

Bicyclist Injured in Crash with Vehicle
Police were called to Brookline and Manning streets on Friday, Oct. 5 at 10:50 a.m. for the report of a crash involving a bicyclist and motor vehicle. The bicyclist was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham for minor injuries.

Driver Cited in Two-Car Crash
Police were called to a multi-car crash at Highland Avenue and Webster Street on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 2:19 p.m. Two vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the drivers, an 82-year-old woman, was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The woman was cited for a red light violation.

Vehicle Broken Into
A Lee Road resident reported on Tuesday, Oct. 2 that her vehicle had been broken into overnight. The vehicle was left unlocked. A small amount of cash and change was taken.

Electronics Taken from Bower Street Home
A home on Bower Street was broken into sometime overnight between Monday, Oct. 1 and Tuesday, Oct. 2. Cash and home electronics were taken.

Man Injured in Chemical Explosion
Police were called to a Crescent Road business on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 2:14 p.m. for the report of a chemical explosion. On person was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham for non life-threatening injuries. Read the full story here.
