Police Reports: Man Arrested For Lewd Conduct

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A Burlington man was arrested for lewd conduct after he allegedly took inappropriate photographs of a 19-year-old woman with her consent.

Police were called to on Friday, Aug. 3 at around 10 a.m. by a witness who reportedly saw the two interacting. When the officer arrived, he observed a man who matched the witness’ description leaving the park with a woman. The officer stopped the man’s vehicle to investigate.

As a result of the initial investigation, police arrested George Weinstein, 67, of Burlington for lewd and lascivious conduct, disturbing the peace, possession of a Class C drug and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. More charges may come, pending further investigation, according to the police report.

A Garden Street resident reported on Wednesday, Aug. 1 that someone had stolen five property markers from the front of the house.

Dover Woman Charged With OUI
A Dover woman is facing drunk driving and other charges after she allegedly left the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Chestnut Street.

Police were called to the area on Thursday, Aug. 2 at around 12:20 a.m. for the report of an abandoned vehicle with a flat tire and heavy front-end damage. After an investigation, police arrested Kathleen Langen, 46, of Dover for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash and operating a vehicle with defective equipment.

Coins Stolen From Vehicle
A Nehoiden Street resident reported on Thursday, Aug. 2 that his vehicle was broken into and $4 worth of coins was taken. The incident occurred overnight on July 24.

Vehicle Crash In Bank Parking Lot
Police were called to on Highland Avenue on Thursday, Aug. 2 at around noon for the report of a minor motor vehicle crash in the parking lot.

Man Fondling Himself in Vehicle with Texas Plates
Police were called to Pilgrim Road on Monday, Aug. 6 for the report of a man fondling himself inside a vehicle. The vehicle was described as a gray Infiniti G-series with Texas license plates, and the man was described as a white male in his 30s, with dark hair. Police checked the area but did not locate the vehicle.

Suspicious Calls Ongoing for Five Years
A Hillside Avenue resident called police on Monday, Aug. 6 to report that they had been receiving suspicious phone calls for about five years.

Each time, the caller asked whether the resident would like prescriptions filled over the phone. The resident told police they did not know why they were receiving the calls and that they had asked the caller to stop calling several times.

Police attempted to reach the caller but were unsuccessful. The matter remains under investigation.

Needham Man Arrested For OUI
A Needham man was arrested for drunk driving after police observed his vehicle cross the center yellow lines on Great Plain Avenue on Sunday, Aug. 5.

After seeing the vehicle traveling very slowly and cross the center lines, an officer signaled to the driver to pull over, but he failed to do so for several minutes, according to reports. Eventually, the driver pulled over near Mason Road.

The driver, 58-year-old Thomas Healy of Needham, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
