Police Reports: Fifth Grader's Cell Phone Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A Newman Elementary School fifth grader reported that his cell phone was stolen from his locker sometime early on Thursday, Oct. 25. The student lockers are open and do not have doors or locks. Several calls and text messages were made from the phone since it was taken. The matter is under investigation.

Football, Laptop Stolen from Vehicle 
A Webster Street resident reported on Thursday, Oct. 25 that someone had broken into this vehicle and stolen a laptop computer and an official NFL football.

Running Boards Taken Off Truck 
A Nehoiden Street resident reported on Thursday, Oct. 25 that someone had stolen the running boards off his Ford F350 pickup truck.

Argument in Staples Parking Lot 
Police were called to a Gage Street address on Thursday, Oct. 25 at around 2:22 p.m. for the report of a past argument in the parking lot of Staples, 163 Highland Ave. An unknown man had accused a woman of damaging his motor vehicle when she opened her car door. During the investigation, police discovered that no damage had been done to the woman's vehicle, and the man's vehicle could not be located. The incident was determined to be unfounded.

Vehicle Pulled Over for Not Turning on Headlights 
Police pulled over a brown Toyota Corolla at around 7:09 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 for not having its headlights on. The vehicle was seen at West Street and Highland Avenue and stopped on Masonic Way. The driver, a 26-year-old Cambridge resident, was summonsed to Dedham District Court for driving with a suspended license. A female passenger, who owned the vehicle, was cited for having an unregistered motor vehicle.
