Police Reports: Dog Left in Hot Vehicle

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Police were called to a parking lot near Rosemary Pool on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at around 6:20 p.m. for the report of a dog that was left in a hot vehicle. An officer spoke with the owner, a 49-year-old Needham woman, who removed the dog from the vehicle, according to reports.

Road Rage Incident Reported
An individual came to the police station on Wednesday, Aug. 8 to report a road rage incident that occurred on July 27. The operator had filed his own complaint with the Registry of Motor Vehicles but wanted the incident documented with the police. The reporting party knew the other driver.

Suspicious Person Reported at Dedham Bank
An employee at Dedham Bank called police on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at around 12:45 p.m. to report a suspicious person in the building. Bank security issued a “no trespass” notice to a 46-year-old Dedham man.

‘Save Cricket Field’ Sign Stolen
A Hillside Avenue resident reported on Wednesday, Aug. 8 that a homemade “Save Cricket Field” sign was stolen from her fence.

Drive Crashes on Brookline Street Lawn
Police were called to Brookline Street on Sunday, Aug. 12 at around 8:45 a.m. for the report of a motor vehicle crash with property damage. The driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle and it spun out across a lawn and flower garden before it came to a stop. Speed was a factor, according to the report, and the driver was cited.

Soda Thrown at Window
Police were called to a Warren Street home on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 10:30 p.m. for the report of vandalism to an upstairs window. A soft drink was thrown at the house and bounced off the upstairs window screen. The house and window were not damaged, and the beverage did not spill on the property.

Man Found Drunk on Sidewalk
Police responded to Needham Square on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at around 11:40 p.m. for the report of an intoxicated man on the sidewalk. Police placed a 48-year-old Needham man into protective custody and took him to the station.
