Police Reports: Campaign Sign Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A resident on Warren Street reported that someone stole an Elizabeth Warren political sign from his property sometime overnight on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Resident Backs into Construction Trailer 
A Taylor Street resident contacted police on Friday, Oct. 26 at 10:36 a.m. to report that she had backed out of her driveway and struck a construction trailer. The trailer was undamaged.

Needham Man Arrested for Drug Possession 
Police were called to a Richdale Road residence on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 6:08 p.m. for a disturbance. One of the reporting parties told police that a man was "acting strange" when he left the house and had illegal drugs on him. Police located the man shortly after and arrested him for possession of a Class E substance.

Driver Pulled Over for U-Turn Violation 
Police pulled over a vehicle for making an illegal u-turn at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Hunting Road on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8:53 p.m. A check of the vehicle's registration showed that it was suspended. The driver, a 23-year-old Boston man, was summonsed to Dedham District Court for operating after suspended registration and for the u-turn violation.

Woman Charged with Illegal Dumping 
Police were called to a Kearney Road business for illegal dumping on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 12:33 p.m. The owner of the trash, a 62-year-old Needham woman, was summonsed to court to face charges of illegal dumping.

Window Smashed, Purse Stolen from Vehicle 
Police were called to Wingate at Needham, 589 Highland Ave. on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 8:04 a.m. for the report of a vehicle break-in. The vehicle's front passenger window was smashed and a brown purse was reported missing from inside the vehicle. No other vehicles in the lot appeared to have been damaged.
