Police: Man with 29 Beers; Stolen Construction Equipment

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A contractor working on a site on Gordon Rd. told police at 1:08 p.m. on Sept. 8 that he had been robbed. The man reported that over $2,500 worth of equipment was stolen from his site, according to police reports.

The incident is currently under investigation.

29 Beers in the Car

On Sept. 10 at 5:28 p.m., Needham Police initiated a traffic stop in the area of 500 Highland Ave. after witnessing a vehicle pull an illegal U-turn. The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old Plympton man, was in possession of 29 beers at the time. He was cited for the U-turn and will be summoned to Dedham District Court for Minor Transporting Alcohol charges.

Stolen Bike

A party told police on Sept. 11 that his bike had been stolen. The party stated that he parked the bike behind the Dunkin’ Donuts on Great Plain Ave. and left it unlocked. He said that when he returned, it was gone.

The party described the bike as a Roadmaster mountain bike, silver and black in color.
