Norfolk County Sheriff Uses Facebook to Ask "Are You Okay?"

Norfolk County Sheriff launches Facebook page for its senior check-in program.


The Norfolk County Sheriff is calling your grandparents every day to ask, "Are you okay?"

The Sherriff's "Are You Okay" program, co-run by Fallon Ambulance, places a daily call to seniors to check in on them. It is designed to give families peace of mind, and to help seniors live more independently. 

On its Facebook page, the "Are You Okay?" program recently posted a series of videos describing the program and its use. The page is seven months old, and among its posts are links to applications, 

The "Are You Okay?" program has been in use in Norfolk County since 2001, and has over 1600 members currently. According to a press release from the Sheriff's office, it has rescued or helped 104 seniors
