The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, July 12
  • A truck making a delivery at a Cabot Street/First Avenue area business was disabled around 7:15 a.m. and began spilling fluids into the roadway. A tow truck was able to remove the vehicle, and a spill kit absorbed the vehicle fluids.
  • About 1 p.m., a Lexington Avenue resident reported a fraudulent charge on her credit card, and that someone had attempted to open bank accounts in her name. The charge was reversed, the accounts were not opened, and the woman was instructed to put a fraud watch on her credit score with the credit bureaus.
  • A woman came to the Police Station to report she left her handbag in a shopping cart at Trader Joe's, and then left the parking lot some time before 7 p.m. When she realized it was missing, she contacted the store management who had not located the bag yet. She called back later on to report that she had found the bag at the Highland Avenue CVS location.
  • Police stopped a motorcycle after seeing it pass through a red light around 9:30 p.m. The driver, a 26-year-old man from Ashland, did not have a motorcycle license and was summonsed to court for riding without a license and failing to stop for a red light. The vehicle was towed.
Saturday, July 13
  • 9:45 p.m., a Chestnut Street resident reports she is the victim of Credit Card Fraud.

The above information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.
